Killzone 2 Review

Gameplay

In Killzone 2, there are a several exciting, different ways to play. Some people play Halo, and some like Call of Duty, I personally like Call of Duty because you can look down the sight of the gun, and it's more fluid during gameplay, which is just awesome. In the single player campaign, there is a cover system that works quite well for a FPS, but it is removed in the online part, so it's more fast paced. The melee system is not a one hit kill, as in Halo, and 3 successive hits are required to take down an enemy from full health. However, performing a melee attack is very quickly done, so in reality, 3 melee's in Killzone are the same as 1 in Halo.

Campaign

The campaign in KIllzone 2 is an interesting one, with a interesting storyline. it's not the basic Black and White, good and evil, because half of the time i wanted to join the helghast, and not kill them. There leader Scolar Visari had some of the best speeches considering the other games I have ever played. I know its not the best story, but its a realistic one, about politics and no extinction from aliens or zombies. Its a average sized campaign, but a great thing is the AI will learn what your doing, so it can counter you. Its the best AI ever created in a video game and makes the game a challenge and fun.

Online

Okay every gamer knows that Halo is the king of FPS online, and CoD is the second, but Killzone 2 has an addictive and interesting online component. It revolves around a badge system were you can be a solider, a medic, a engineer, a tactician, and assault, a saboteur, or a scout. All of these classes have a primary ability, but when u get enough ribbons your can interchange secondary ability's to customize your character. This is very exciting and make the online gameplay very addiciting. With the ability to change the game mode, during the match will make it more fluid to kill people capture a area, or play capture the flag with a propaganda speaker.

Over all, the game is super cool. You should definetly check it out and play it. This probably one of the best shooter games ever.

Is the Wii a Truly Broken System?

The Wii had caused so much excitement and wonder the few months before it finally came out. Nintendo made us crave for it. We drooled about it, we dreamt about it, and we talked about. It was amazing new godly item that we all had to have, and we, the gamers, imagined a godly gaming system that would change the way we play. We thought the we would be able use our wii remotes to fight off bad guys with awesome swords and point at shoot at the most notorious monsters. We imagined all of this and more, but what did we get? We all went home and opened up the boxes disappointed and let down. We inserted Wii Sports and played happily for a while. That was all an illusion for must of us and just a mere taste of satisfaction. We started to realize things were missing from the picture. The Wii sucks… face the facts. It has motion detection but that fails even with the Wii motion plus. It has wifi but no good online games. It has games yet they are all crap, (I mean who has ever heard of Super K.O. whatever it’s called)! But is the Wii a truly broken gaming system? We all loved the Smash bros series and Brawl was no exception. We all love Mario and He just keeps coming better and the game improves more and more. Look at Mario cart. It was fun for the N64, the Nintendo Game Cube, and Even the DS. It most definitely has improved on the wii. It’s fun to play especially with friends so it’s great for get togethers. Wii isn’t broken… It simply hasn’t unlocked it’s full potential and hopefully, Nintendo will realize this and get back up and make some new improvements to this system. I believe that the problem is not the wii, but in fact, it's just been given insufficient oppurtunities to unleash itself.
